Hi, I am Melissa
Strong. I am a veterinary technician (Nurse) here at
Oasis. I have been with the clinic since February 2001. Originally,
I am from Cleveland, Ohio. I moved here to Arizona in 1999.
I have a German Shepherd named Tim, 2 cats and a box turtle.
All of my "kids" came to me through adoption or
rescuing.
In my spare time,
I enjoy spending it with my family, creative writing, reading,
cultural events and Mehendi (Henna Art). I am very interested
in Celtic Mythology, Herbal Medicine and everything about
India! I am active in the Irish American community and I'm
a student at the Academy Of Irish and Celtic Studies (Music
Academy) playing flute and tin whistle. I really enjoy the
local Irish music scene.
I come from a very
close knit family, all of whom are still in Ohio except for
my brother who also lives in Arizona. I share my life with
my two beautiful children, Jacob and Amanda. They are my pride
and joy and keep me very busy.
I have worked in
the veterinary field for over 15 years. I continually learn
new skills by attending seminars and labs. With my academic
and clinical skills I will provide your pet with the utmost
gentle and professional care he or she deserves.
Taking care of
your four-legged family member is not just a job to me, it
is my career. Animals are one of my great passions in life
and I couldn't imagine being employed in any other field.
Thank you for stopping
by and learning a little more about those that care for your
pets. I look forward to helping you in the future.
